Crystal Cave Adventure at St. Herman’s Blue Hole National Park
Located outside Belmopan, Belize’s Capital, along the scenic Hummingbird Highway, an extraordinary adventure awaits. Locally known as the Mountain Cow Cave, the stunning, other-worldly Crystal Cave is found deep in the jungle, in the heart of the Blue Hole National Park. Venture into the well-maintained trails where you may encounter an exciting array of bird species, or small mammals, insects, and spider monkeys that reside near the area. Inside the cave, we discover remnants of the past, such as centuries-old fire pits, wall carvings, pottery, and other relics, as well as impressive crystal formations and stalactites and stalagmites. Prepare to traverse through the large chambers of the cave, fit through tight spaces, slide down mud ramps, and scramble along rocks. This is perhaps the most challenging jungle adventure Belize has to offer. After your muddy adventure, we head back to the parking lot to enjoy a refreshing Belizean lunch before taking a rejuvenating dip in the inland Blue Hole.
