At Ruwa Travels, we take great care in planning every detail of your experience from reserving expert guides to confirming your transport, meals, accommodation and activities. We understand that plans can change and we do our best to offer flexibility while also respecting the time and effort of our local guides and partners. Please review our cancellation terms below:

📍 For Single-Day Tours

Payment Policy:

Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm single-day tours

Free Cancellation:
Cancellations made 7 or more days before the tour date are eligible for a full refund, minus a 20% processing fee to cover administrative and booking costs.

Partial Refund:
Cancellations made 3 to 6 days prior receive a 50% refund, minus a 20% fee.

No Refund:

• Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the tour start time
  
  
• No-shows or missed departures
  
  
• Late arrivals that miss the tour departure
  
  

Date Changes:

• Free date changes allowed up to 72 hours before the tour, subject to availability.
  
  
• Changes requested within 72 hours are not guaranteed and may incur a fee
  
  

 

🌴 For Multi-Day Vacation Packages

Deposit Requirement:
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.
The remaining balance is due at least 45 days prior to the start date of your package.

Refund Policy:

• Cancellations made 90+ days before arrival: Deposit is fully refundable (minus a 15% processing fee)
  
  
• Cancellations made 89 to 46 days before arrival: Deposit is non-refundable
  
  
• Cancellations made 45 days or less before arrival: No refund will be issued
  
  

Important Notes:

• We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unexpected disruptions or cancellations
  
  
• Any tour changes requested within 30 days of arrival may incur rescheduling or administrative fees. This is not always the case, and we will do our best to avoid fees where possible.
  
  

 

🌧️ Weather & Operational Closures

If Ruwa Travels must cancel your tour due to weather, natural disasters, park closures, or operational concerns, you will be offered:

• The option to reschedule or apply the amount to a different tour
  
  

Note: Tours in Belize may be closed with little notice due to safety concerns issued by the relevant government authorities which are out of our control. These can be last minute. So,we will provide you with the option to reschedule, or provide you with alternatives.
