We’re a Belize-based travel agency and boutique tour operator specializing in custom travel planning and unforgettable local adventures from jungle expeditions visiting the ATM Cave, Massive Caracol Maya temples to private island getaways. Ruwa Travels was born out of a love for Belize and a passion for transformative travel. The founder spent countless hours exploring every corner of Belize, from the ancient temples of Lamanai archeological site, to the intricate depths of the caves in Belize, waterfalls and jungles… to the mystical beauty of Xunantunich – All in pursuit of perfecting the overall experience of traveling, one meaningful detail at a time.
And this attention to detail? It’s woven into everything we do right down to our logo.

Our Story

The Bird in Flight
If you look closely, you’ll see a bird within the letter “R.” The bird represents freedom, perspective, and soul. Birds migrate across borders effortlessly, trusting the wind and moving with purpose. We see our travelers the same way: seekers of meaning, beauty, and connection. The bird is your spirit in motion, finding joy in the journey.
The Name “Ruwa” translates to water.
As humans, we are made up of mostly water, so this symbolizes us at our core: fluid, renewed, and alive. Water finds its path around obstacles, it moves, adapts, and nourishes. That same flow is echoed in the sweeping soft but bold curves of the R, suggesting movement, waves, and the journey ahead. It’s about going with the flow while honoring the soul of every place we visit. Water teaches us to flow, and to adapt. Just as it shapes landscapes, travel shapes who we become… Ergo “water” Travels.

Our colors weren’t chosen by accident. The golden tones represent warmth, joy, and sunlight; the vibrant spirit of tropical adventures and human connection. The deep navy reflects depth, wisdom, and the vast night sky, our compass and our calm.
